I was heading south on the 15th St cycletrack and wanted to turn east onto the PA Ave cycletrack but got caught by the light. I pulled into the area between the 15th St cycletrack and the White House security entrance to wait for my turn in the intersection.

The officers there seemed to think that I should wait to turn in the cycletrack or somewhere else. I think hanging out in the cycletrack is kind of rude to the through riders and have no desire to get closer to the cars.

What do you guys do?

My wife took a spill (just scratches.bruises, thankfully) here last night so wanted to warn folks about it.
