If you are able to subject yourself to "Arlington-ified HR mumbo jumbo," the survey on priorities in the search for Arlington's new county manager could be a useful vehicle for increasing the likelihood that we get a county manager who sees and treats bicycling as a core component of our community.

Why is this important to cyclists? The County Manager's budget proposed cutting bike/ped funding last year. If you think the next County Manager should see smart growth and safety of vulnerable road users are important, please speak up. If you think the next County Manager should make updating the Master Transportation Plan a priority, speak up. If you think the next County Manager be dedicated to speeding up infrastructure projects, and ensuring that delays are minimized, speak up. If you think the next County Manager should be able to listen to Arlingtonians, without letting a vocal minority veto projects that benefit the broader (but often silent) community, speak up.
