I received an email about this, but it's not listed on their events calendar (http://www.aoc.gov/events).

The monthly AOC (Architects of the Capital (http://www.aoc.gov)) bike outing is going to Yards Park on on Friday June 19. Please feel free to join. Here are the details. If you do decide to join please let Tove or Marty know.
Anderson, Tove <tanderso@aoc.gov>
Shore, Martin <mshore@aoc.gov>

TIME: 12 Noon – 1PM

STARTING POINT: Capital BikeShare dock, HHS Building, Independence and Washington Aves, SW
DESTINATION: Yards Park, 355 Water St SE, Washington, DC 20003

The June bike outing will travel to nearby Yards Park for lunch. Bring your own lunch or buy lunch from a nearby eatery. As a special treat, Amanda Edwards from John Milner Associates will tell us about the wonderful Beaux Arts DC Water Department’s Main Pumping Station, designed by her great ‐great grandfather, C. A. Didden along with his son, George Anton Didden in 1903

Do you know that this is an open invitation? My understanding is that it was an invitation the participants of that email group.

I don't know whether it's an open or closed event. I had received this through my office (not the AOC) bike email group.

It was sent with a "feel free to join" tag to the fed bikes group, so pretty sure if your a fed (or similar), with a bike, you're welcome to join. It's not just AOC.

edited to add: someone from NOAA was told it was ok to share with all of NOAA, so it is def an open invite :)
