View Full Version : New "My Rides" feature on the scoreboard website

Hi folks -

Some of you may have noticed the "Login" link on the right of the nav bar. It's been there for awhile, but hitherto hasn't done anything. Now it actually brings you to the "My Rides" dashboard page where you can see some metrics for just you. Also, from this page you can tell the scoreboard to resync the (Instagram) photos for your ride (e.g. if the scoreboard processed your ride & photos before you had a chance to upload them or otherwise get Strava to see them).

Note that we're using Strava as the means of authentication. Since everyone reading this has probably already authorized the scoreboard application, you will just immediately be logged in when you click the "Connect with Strava" button. If you have authorized the application, but aren't actually a member of one of the competing teams, you will not be able to login. I'm planning to extend the "is logged-in" feature to allow for showing more details about the data that we otherwise are keeping private. For example, full [strava] names of athletes. Recent rides, maybe some geographic information, etc.

I think it's pretty self-explanatory, but here are a few screenshots illustrating the login process:

Let me know if you have any questions or other feedback.

Well, the forum software apparently thinks that photos should be tiny. .... So those are probably useless.

Basically, to Log In you just:
1. Click the "Login" button.
2. Click the "Connect with STRAVA" button, on the login page.
3. Upon success, you will be redirected to the /my/rides page. You can always access this page again by clicking on the dropdown that is now your firstname (where the "Login" button used to be).
