View Full Version : Anyone got a spare set of legs I can borrow?

After 135 miles from Mckeesport to Cumberland on the GAP this weekend mine are tired! :( Was all I could do to get on the bike today.

And all I can say is that the whole "recovery ride" idea is overrated!

Nice ride! That is an awesome stretch. I love recovery rides. I guess I graduated from the "Thank you sir. May I have another?" school of cycling. Hang in there!

In answer to your question: no, not on a Monday. In fact, ever since I passed the last decade mark of life, the legs ALWAYS hurt.

Nice ride! That is an awesome stretch.

The awesome stretch was the last 22 miles (downhill) from Big Savage to Cumberland :)

I think my wife did learn one thing though. I never seem to be able to get her to start a trip before 11am. That unfortunately meant we made it to the halfway point @ Ohiopyle well beyond dark thirty on Saturday. Let me tell ya, that trail is DARK at night. Fortunately I had chucked both my Dinottes in my bag before we left or it would have been a quite interesting ride...

Nice going CCrew. I really like that trail. I've only done it in the reverse order as you though, but I can imagine the last 22 are great fun as I was cursing the first 22 of my ride ; )
