NOTE, the BTWD convoy page is still a little off -- we're trying to leave College Park at 7:30, not 7:40, and we're going to meetup with the Mt Rainer Convoy at about 8am on Arundel Street.

The weather tomorrow morning looks to be lousy for Bike to Work Day, with rain and wind. Convoys will leave Greenbelt at 7am and College Park at 7:30am rain or shine, but let's all be careful out there. Please wear high visibility clothes and run front and rear blinky lights. Consider alternative routes and backup plans. The river trails may be flooded, so we may need to take the newly paved trolley trail in Hyattsville instead of our planned route on the NE Branch trail.

Here is a link to the river levels -- if the "gage height" is over about 4 feet tomorrow morning, we'll take an alternate route through the Greenbelt Metro station, and down the trolley trail to College Park instead of the river trails. We'll go through old Riverdale to the Hyattsville trolley trail. That means we won't be passing through the Lake Artemesia area on our way downtown or to College Park.

Looks like the absolute worst should be out of here in 30 minutes or so—and our convoy out of College Park leaves in 35. Given the flooding—USGS is reporting a gauge height of 3 feet and rising rapidly—I'm guessing the Trolly Trail would be the best bet.
