I'll play. This winter has given us many, many good photo ops. I've got two photos for consideration which I'll post separately:

First up, our own lovely W&OD after a snow (note taken DURING the freezing saddles competition).

And one from a bit further afield but that so captures the beauty of winter riding:

I don't know which I like better, The gloves, the glasses, the fun fur, or the helmet! Wait a minute.....I know, it's the smile (same one you get when you're having fun at FCII)

Took me a whole two minutes to get the balance just right. And then 15 seconds after the photo for the bike to then fall down.

Other stuff to consider when looking at this picture. Rod's ride was 30 miles long. Mine was 25. Ben's was around 5 miles, but he did the entire ride on a unicycle.

Spent at least a couple hours today digging out and there's still a few inches over everything! At least my neighbor called my effort "very impressive".

Actually Ben had ridden 13 by the time we got to my house where I lent him some dry socks and rain pants and sent him off towards Kensington, another 12 approximately!

Ah very nice. I could probably fit one on front, but not in my frame. Better clearance sometimes tempts me to upgrade to the newer jabberwocky frame, but then I ride my current mtb so rarely that I can't justify it. Usually the 2.0-2.2 tires work great around here.

Thanks! We had fun riding and the photo just seemed to fit the spirit of the ride.

As a side note, it is completely untouched. The lack of color in the background was completely done by Mother Nature.

Ooooh nice. Same hats at the POW! In the words of Ali G, "respek."

I picked one of mine up on a trip to Ireland. The other was in unclaimed lost and found that got put out for giveaway at my office a few years ago. Good find that one. I get occasional compliments on each.

If I recall, this side bet was going to be won by the photo that receives the most Likes and Elites. So if you haven't voted, you can still go back through the photos and Like your favorites. I'm not sure if Mikey has a cutoff date for voting.

Actually, Mikey said it was to be determined by the end of February. Has this changed?

You have to take everything I say with the knowledge that I'm incredibly lazy and deadlines are more like guidelines. I figure that all of the side bets are still open.

Well, if we want this one to be considered, then the deadline would have to be relaxed. Obviously I am not a lawyer, since I never notice details like that.
