View Full Version : Wine Country Century

I know this isn't a local ride, but the Wine Country Century (http://srcc.memberlodge.com/WCC) out in Sonoma, CA, is a truly glorious ride. It was my first (and so far, only) century. It's beatiful countryside, a couple of serious climbs, tons of small rolling hills, and wineries after wineries after wineries. The support is superb - you could show up starving with just an empty water bottle and be totally fine.

Anyway, I'm flying out for it this year, my second, with my brother-in-law and some of his friends. If you're looking for a nice trip to do a bike ride, you will struggle to find a better one than this. And if I haven't yet sold you on it - the finish line is only a few miles from the Russian River brewpub. If following up a beautiful century with a pint of Pliny the Elder on draft doesn't make you drool, I don't know what will.

I rode some of those roads a few years ago during the multi-day ride. Very jealous of the ride and getting Pliny.
