Each December there is always talk of a Holiday Lights ride and for some reason they never seem to happen. Or at least, I haven't been able to make it to one.

I was wondering if anyone is up for organizing one this Holiday season? Would this be something the forum would be interested in organizing? Maybe something Kidical Mass could put on? Anyone else?

Anyway, if it does happen, this house needs to be on the route as they've got their decorations and music setup and playing: http://goo.gl/maps/7MsUW

I'd be up for going on a holiday lights ride, but I do not know the best houses to visit.

On the other hand, I have been wanting to bike the Bull Run Festival of Lights. http://www.bullrunfestivaloflights.com I don't see anything saying you CAN'T bike, and it would be pretty cool to have a bunch of cyclists going through the Xmas lights (most likely we'd be our own light parade). Of course, this could just be a crazy idea that would never work as I live near Ballston, so it'd be a bit out of the way for me to bike in the dark. That said, I'm still crazy enough to try it!

I was just about to post about this. Chris S and I were lamenting about not having time in December to do one, then we realized: Arlingtonians are way too busy to take their lights down after Xmas.

Would people be up for a Kidical Mass Arlington Holiday Lights Ride on January 4th or 5th (Sat or Sun after New Year's)?

<BTW, I've run through the Des Moines version of the Bull Run thing and it was AWESOME (aside from running in DSM in December). I bet cycling would be amazing.>
