My wife and I are heading out to Ocean City/Assateague for a weekend, and I was looking to rent a tandem bike for the weekend.

Most of the places I've looked have beach cruiser style tandems, but my wife and I are both used to road bikes, so we'd prefer something a little more "elite". Not necessarily drop bars; maybe something more like a flat-bar road bike.

Anyone know of a place that rents tandems that aren't of the cruiser variety?

Thanks!

How tall are you? I might know someone.

I'm 6'3", and my wife is about 5'7".

It'd be awesome if you could help set me up!

The one I had in mind isn't going to be anywhere near close to fitting you. My mountain bike tandem might, but it is in use as much as possible and is about as far away from your description as you can get (5" suspension travel front and rear and really fat tires).

I'll keep an eye out. You might call College Park Bikes and see what they have. They're one of the bigger tandem shops in the area.

Thanks for trying, and thanks for the tip. I'll give them a call!
