New Weekly Column on Arlington Cycling

I'm trying out a new weekly column over at clarendon.patch.com. It's about cycling in Arlington, and directed at a general audience (well, somewhat general - I did manage to work in the phrase "masochistic exhibitionism"). Just posted the first one - about winter riding - here (http://clarendon.patch.com/articles/put-away-the-bike-for-the-winter-not-in-arlington), and welcome any thoughts. And thanks to Dirt and everyone else in the Layers 101 discussion that the piece links to. It's a great introduction for folks new to winter riding, and that's my biggest hope for this column - to get more people out on bikes.

Good article, Mark. I'm really glad to see all of the information about winter riding this year. Especially for commuting. I don't care if people go out for pleasure rides or not, but if people realize they can commute by bike year-round, that could get some families to realize that they don't really need that second car.
