It's back! (That is what Redux means.) The Papillon Cycles DC Monuments at Night Ride returns for a 2nd helping. Saturday, September 16, rollout 7:00pm or so from the shop. As before, we offer an enroute meetup point at Lady Bird Johnson Park, for those coming from elsewhere, or if you wish to avoid riding on Columbia Pike. The core route is about 13.5 miles, but if everyone feels up to it, we can add the extra attractions bobco85 suggested in August when he ran with us. 4-5 extra miles...

The Eventbrite listing is here:https://www.eventbrite.com/e/papillons-dc-monuments-at-night-ride-redux-tickets-37782389143

For libations afterward, Brick Haus, the beer garden run by the Twisted Vines crew, is finally open. Right across the intersection from us.

Be here. Aloha.

Speedy? No. This is more a scenic slow roll than a race. By design.

My ride has a decidedly old school soundtrack... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhrTaOIl5iI

After the ride? Could be Brick Haus, could be Lost Dog. There is sentiment in the shop for a quieter post-ride drink... Stay tuned.

It was nice meeting you, too! The emphasis is on sightseeing and having fun. We're not racing, though some may want to ride faster than others. This is a no-drop event in that no one will be left behind.

Looking forward to seeing you again!

Oh, you just met my wife, Sue, who will be there, as well... (Wife, hijacking my ID? Not a problem... :) )

Good morning. We are GO for this evening. The weather forecast- Partly cloudy, highs upper 70's to low 70's during the ride, sunset about 7:15pm. NOW is a good time to make sure your lighting setup is charged up and ready to roll.

Rollout is 7:00pm. While the shop officially closes at 6, we won't lock our riders out. If in doubt, come around the back...

Be there. Aloha.
